Universal Robots is the world’s market leader in cobots, making products that empower our customers and truly impact their work-life positively. As part of our recent growth, we are looking into further digitizing our customer-facing web applications. The ecosystem today consists of several applications that supports our cobot, both pre- and post-sales, such as our Academy, Corporate Website, myUR Customer Portal and much more, however, our journey has just begun. 

We are establishing a new team co-located in our office in Odense. You will be working in an empowered product team where the expectations are high, but you get to be part of the whole product development. The developers, along with the product manager, have full authority and responsibility for designing, developing, and maintaining the product and making sure it adheres to the UR business strategy and goals. That is: no project manager and no other manager deciding how the product should be. The full decision-making and development reside with the developers and Product Manager.  

Your task will be, together with your team, to build and improve our Performance Suite product, which lets customers analyze their cobots deployments and get improvement recommendations.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a backend developer who thrives in in an agile environment, has a strong human-centered design approach, and has a desire to learn and collaborate cross-functionally. A growth mindset and positive attitude are also a must.

The primary responsibilities in the role will be to:
 

• Adhere to the lean and agile development process. Be part of the customer engagement, have the willingness to make product-specific decisions as a team, and be an active part of the overall product development process
• Thrive in a dynamic work atmosphere. You will primarily develop web applications for our marketing and sales department, where focus and requirements may change often
• Ensuring that the solutions are compliant with the overall business strategy and expectations of your empowered product team
• Securing scalable and state-of-the-art cloud solutions that support the growing business needs
• Technical mentoring of developers in the team through guidance and coaching

Your education is most likely in computer science/engineering or likewise, with several years of proven experience. You know how to build sophisticated software of high quality and have an open mindset and a positive attitude. You are a collaborative team player and can thrive in a work environment where changes occur regularly while remaining focused. The ideal candidate also has a strong focus on software quality and proven experience in search engine implementation and optimization. 

To be successful in this role, we expect the following technical competencies from you:
 

• Proficient in developing C# .NET web applications. Experience with older .NET Core versions is also sufficient. 
• Knowledge of SQL Database setup
• Cloud service implementations, preferably in Microsoft Azure
• ElasticSearch, Lucene or similar experience in implementing a search engine
• CMS development and integration, i.e., Umbraco
• Developing REST APIs
• Experience with lean or agile development in teams 
• Good communication skills and proficient in English
