About This Role

As Associate Systems Test Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the execution of System Integration and Design Verification test programs as well as for providing technical direction and support to lab resources                  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as subject matter expert of system test processes, methodology and tools
  • Develop and maintain in depth understanding of product(s) software, firmware, and hardware architecture(s)
  • In coordination with Test Engineering Leads and development teams, manage QA test related projects activities: including planning, resource scheduling and testing.
  • Develop, integrate, deploy, and maintain test systems and test tools.
  • Create, review, and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
  • Manage/Lead System integration and verification test execution and test infrastructure build projects including schedules, resources, and equipment.
  • Develop project budgets and capital cost requirements.
  • Provide lab technical team with direction, guidance, training and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or technical training in engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in system hardware, firmware, or software testing
  • Experience in developing and execution of test plans and test cases utilizing test management tools like HP ALM or Jira
  • Good documentation, verbal communication, and presentation skills including the use of communication tools like Confluence.
  • Ability to support multiple projects in fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with test methods, test automation tools, and software
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio)
  • Large system or networked system test
  • IP network, Cloud and web services
  • Embedded Linux and command line interface
  • Regulatory agencies/compliance
  • Fire alarm system products and markets
