Job Summary:

The Department of Emergency Medicine is hiring a Director for Investigator Pipeline Development to focus on developing novice and early career researchers who can contribute to emergency care research broadly. This role will also support Project FIRST, which is focused on research and implementation of programs to improve psychological health and mental readiness for first responders and military medics.

 

This role will work in collaboration with the Vice Chair for Research, Associate Vice Chair for Research, the Vice Chair for Academic Affairs/ Project FIRST Program Director, and the Psychological Health Research Lead for the COMBAT Center/Project First co-PD.

 

The selected candidate will contribute to investigator pipeline development in the following ways: support recruitment and onboarding of research faculty, assist with departmental faculty initiatives in pipeline development such as fellowship and postdoctoral training, and support early career researchers’ faculty development.

 

All applicants must either hold a faculty role at CU or be able to obtain a faculty role at CU at the time of hire.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Support recruitment and onboarding of research faculty.

·         Assist with departmental faculty initiatives and pipeline development, including fellowship and postdoctoral training and early career researchers’ faculty development.

·         Contribute to Project FIRST’s direction and research.

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

·         PhD in Clinical Psychology.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience in developing and mentoring early career researchers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·         Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
