Job Description
Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager, Engineering and Construction to join our growing team. As Senior Project Manager, Engineering and Construction, you will report into our Director – Fiber Engineering and Construction and will be responsible for various project management aspects associated with our fiber deployment, including project scheduling, all aspects of infrastructure services provider and vendor coordination, development of engineering and construction guidelines for new fiber architecture, project issue management and resolution, vendor management and performance. The position will be a key part of the Engineering and Construction team that will collaboratively manage the Brightspeed fiber build and facility deployment. This role requires strong business acumen, the abilities to define and implement groundbreaking ideas, to work within a fast-moving environment to rapidly deliver support and services that have a broad business impact, and desire to have an industry wide impact.

As Senior Manager Engineering and Construction Project Management you will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead project management of development and monitoring of an engineering and construction build plan
- Direct local engineers in the review of mechanized engineering designs for potential redesign opportunities and needs
- Project manage engineering design changes
- Provide process support to the network team and infrastructure services contractors supporting front line execution of an extensive fiber deployment
- Project manage cross functional process changes to optimize fiber build efficiency
- Drive the company culture and strategies. Creates strategies to achieve business goals such as increasing revenues, optimizing expenses, and developing a skilled, motivated, satisfied, and diverse workforce
- Lead by example in creating an environment that encourages open communication, sharing ideas and best practices, and building strong cross-functional relationships
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical work experience in fiber engineering and construction
- Prior industry experience in facility engineering and network deployments
- Prior industry experience in managing infrastructure service providers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interact with cross functional teams
- Process improvement and customer-centric mindset
- Ability to motivate others and work under pressure
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to articulate via written and through oral communication
BONUS POINTS FOR:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Telecommunications
- Telecom/Cable/Internet Service Provider industry experience
