Department of Revenue is recruiting for a Mail Processing Specialist – Office Specialist 1 position. We are looking for talented, detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills to join our Information Technologies Services Division in the Mail Processing unit. This position is headquartered in our Salem office and is an on-site in-person position. The working hours for this position will be 6:30am – 3pm Monday – Friday.
In order to be considered for Department of Revenue recruitments, you must reside within the state of Oregon. Current Revenue employees who live outside of Oregon may apply and will be considered.
What You Will Be Doing
Below is a sampling of job duties. It is not meant to encompass all duties.
Use a state vehicle to drive to post office to pick up mail and return to Revenue building.
Sort incoming mail and route priority mail in a timely manner.
Prepare documents to ensure compatibility for specialized scanners.
Process mail returns including unclaimed mail.
Research and process incomplete payment vouchers to complete records and accurately direct funds.

This Is What You Need To Qualify
One year of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An equivalent combination of experience and college coursework or training in a general office occupation.
