About the role

As a Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP), you’ll serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner on all people-related matters. You recognize that every business unit has unique needs, and you take the time to seek to understand the goals, challenges, and culture of each department or subsidiary you support. Building strong, lasting relationships is central to your approach, enabling you to influence decision-making and support long-term business objectives.

In this position, you’ll work closely with the Senior HRBP to drive key HR processes for our Growth and Venture Businesses — including performance reviews, leadership coaching, talent development, hiring, and employee relations. You’ll also collaborate closely with your department leaders, and the broader HR organization to enhance employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.

Based in our HQ in Tysons, VA, this role requires in-person collaboration Monday–Thursday each week.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner by providing tailored support, coaching, and thought partnership to leaders and teams across multiple departments and subsidiary businesses.
  • Build trusted relationships across the organization to gain insight into diverse business needs, team dynamics, and cultural nuances.
  • Seek to understand before advising — actively listening to stakeholders to ensure HR strategies align with unique business contexts.
  • Develop people strategies and design approaches that enhance organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and change readiness.
  • Partner with business leaders to manage and facilitate organizational change, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Proactively assess team and leadership development needs, providing recommendations and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Provide HR expertise in areas such as performance management, employee relations, leadership development, coaching, and organizational growth.
  • Guide leaders through complex employee relations matters with a focus on fairness, consistency, and positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues in Recruiting, Learning & Development, Compensation, Legal, and HR Operations to deliver solutions that support scalability and growth.
  • Support integration efforts and cultural alignment between core operations and subsidiary businesses.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, ideally in dynamic and growth-oriented business environments.
  • Experience providing HR support to multiple business units or subsidiaries strongly preferred.
  • Proven change management expertise with the ability to influence, coach, and guide leaders and teams through transitions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across all levels, with a client-focused mindset.
  • Skilled at balancing multiple priorities and managing time effectively in complex, fast-paced settings.
  • Strong employee relations experience with an ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly and constructively.
  • Commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and delivering high-quality results.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to thrive amid ongoing change

Please note that sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position at this time.
