As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol Unarmed Part-Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic retail setting. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. You will be expected to respond to incidents, assist visitors and employees, and support access control measures, all while upholding our core values of agility, reliability, and innovation. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately when emergency situations arise.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report any irregularities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
• Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as needed regarding incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related occurrences observed during patrols.
• Assist store personnel and visitors by providing information or directions as needed, contributing to a welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
