About the role
Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to play a key role on the Amazon Appstore Finance Team. Over the past decade Amazon has developed a number of market-leading, innovative, and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses including Kindle, Fire Tablets, Fire TV and Echo/Alexa Family of Devices and Services. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded candidate who enjoys partnering with the business to drive results. Streaming/games industry experience is preferred but not required.
The successful candidate will be the Finance partner to the Appstore Organization responsible for providing data driven financial analysis and insights to support initiatives that help customers discover, research, choose, purchase and use Apps. This Business Partner role requires a self-starter with solid business modeling skills, an ability to influence stakeholders across geographies and business units and a good track record of being an adviser to the business.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a key finance partner supporting Appstore on Fire TVs, upsell and subscription strategies; and engagement and monetization tactics.
- Lead the development of financial models and advanced analytical tools that aid in key decision making
- Drive creation, implementation and reporting of financial and operating performance metrics.
- Lead forecasting cycles for Appstore and provide variance drivers between forecast and actuals for senior leadership finance and business reviews.
- Own and drive finance communication with the business teams on product performance, financial impact, and risks & opportunities.
- Build out business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management.

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
