ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have a Top-Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and operate a lab space. This includes but is not limited to updating various software, firmware, system configuration, and hardware of various Cross Domain Solutions and supporting architecture deployed in the field.
Maintain all required security and access control records including daily open/close and end-of-day checklists.
Update, maintain, and provide users with access to lab documentation, to include user guides, system administrator guides, checklists, job aides, and files/documents under configuration management control.
Provide customized updates to the existing Lab Operating Procedures.
Replicate problems identified by the CDC SAs, troubleshoot them in the CDES lab, and work with the SAs at CDC and technology vendor engineers until the successful resolution of the problem.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and report to the COR/ACOR all failures or deficiencies of CDS hardware assets.
Purchase needed hardware/software at the direction of the COR/ACOR to maintain needed capabilities within the CDES lab space.
Maintain a baseline suite of hardware and software in the CDES lab space required to support the CDS architecture.
Provide support to ongoing systems integration efforts including maintaining staging areas within the CDES lab space for CDS products.
Schedule use of systems and staging areas to ensure adequate support for scheduled deployments.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
