As a Senior CAD Designer, you will manage, draft, and design projects, taking ownership from start to finish.
Responsibilities, Expectations, and Duties:
- Draft and design projects such as commercial and residential developments, municipal projects, transportation projects and more
- Prepare plans and layouts generated in AutoCAD 3D Civil or other design software
- Produce accurate output with a keen eye for aesthetics
- Manage project data files from various sources
- Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
- Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- Advanced skills using AutoCAD/Civil 3D; experience with Microstation a plus
- Experienced in detailing as well as plan and profile, site plans, drainage, grading, utilities (profiles), SWPPP, and associated items
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally
- Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
- Be a professional, creative, team-focused individual that works well with others in a team environment
- 3-5 years’ experience utilizing AutoCAD/Civil 3D on land and site development projects
- Associates degree preferred; equivalent experience and training may be considered
