Adventist HealthCare is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for our Outpatient Imaging Services in Rockville, MD.
Qualified candidates will be eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus. (*Current AHC employees not eligible – see below under additional details.)

As an Ultrasound Technologist you will:
• Prepare the exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations; Assist radiologists as needed with ultrasound-guided biopsies and vascular ultrasound procedures
• Recognize and record the appropriate anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment
• Care properly for sonography equipment and report equipment failure
• Write reports based upon the scan results and completion
• Alert appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that need immediate attention
• Use the ability to solve problems and make decisions

Qualifications include:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program
• 1 year scanning experience preferred
• RDMS certification within 1 year of hire
• Vascular certification preferred

Work Schedule:

Monday- Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm

*Current AHC employees are not eligible for a sign-on bonus who are transferring from one entity to another and/or transferring within their entity. Employees that have terminated their employment with AHC are not eligible for a sign-on bonus prior to six months of returning if hired for a position offering a sign-on bonus.

• Applicant must be experienced in Breast Sonography or willing to train.
• Candidate must be willing to perform breast biopsies such as Molli placement, Core needle biopsies, and Savi seed placement.
• Set up sterile trays and prepare patients for all breast procedures.

Pay Range:

$34.58 - $51.87

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:
