Raytheon is seeking a Principal Cyber Security Engineer-P4 to join the Cyber Security Engineering team supporting the operations and maintenance of custom solutions and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities. This position will work in a SCIF environment based on program needs. The ideal candidate will have strong cyber experience across the full spectrum of cyber operations from a mission execution perspective, to include vulnerability management, compliance management, database, and enterprise information security infrastructure. This is an onsite role at the Raytheon Aurora, CO location.
What You Will Do:
Liaison between cyber security and platform to ensure alignment on defects and exceptions and facilitate the execution of the plan for each instance
Train and mentor, the cyber security team on the process of identifying, reporting, addressing, and verifying any defects in the system
Vulnerability assessment and analysis experience utilizing Nessus/Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and DISA STIGs
Assessment and Authorization Support (A&A)
Performing and providing vulnerability assessment results and recommendations to the leadership
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant engineering experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience using Tenable Security Center, Nessus for vulnerability and compliance assessment along with demonstrated experience in performing assessments of various operating systems with DISA STIGs and SRGs
Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-37, Continuous Monitoring IAW NIST 800-137, Patching IAW NIST 800-40, NIST 800-53 and CNSSI 1253
Must possess Security Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M IAT-III (CISSP or equivalent) Compliant Certification
Qualifications We Prefer:
Demonstrated experience executing security assessment of large DoD systems to include the full review of security vulnerabilities and compliance
Demonstrated experience working with software and platform teams to assess and address security defects in the system
Understanding of DoD RMF Certification and Accreditation Processes, assessing and validating compliance with IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation
Understanding of security design concepts with ability to develop solutions to moderately complex IS compliance and security problems
Must be a self-starter capable of multitasking and efficiently managing your time with solid communications skill with team and program leadership
Ability to support periodic travel
