Director of Sales

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Shield Hotel Management. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Director of Sales for the Courtyard by Marriott of West Springfield.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through various communication channels using professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal skills and company/franchise programs.
Research and develop new clients and sources of business.
Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations, DMOs, RTCs, etc.
Work with the General Manager and Management Company representatives to achieve sales goals.
Active involvement in Revenue Management.
Effectively communicate with all departments and management team members to ensure that clients, groups and function needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
Respond to all sales inquiry’s in a timely and professional manner.
Participate with the management team in overall operations support when needed.
The ideal candidate must be able to easily use and navigate standard industry computer programs and have outstanding written and verbal skills.
Prior sales experience is required. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with lower or mid-level management experience and a proven track record of achievement.

2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major, or High School Degree and 4 years equivalent job experience in sales and/or guest services, front desk or related professional area.

$50,000-$65,000 per year. Dental Insurance, Health Insurance, Vision Insurance available. Life insurance policy provided at no expense to Full Time Employees.
