POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, PMO to lead and develop a team of 4-6 Project Managers in delivering complex, high-visibility IT implementations and business initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, relationship builder, and proven leader with expertise in project governance, resource management, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires a balance of strong organizational skills, financial acumen, and the ability to mentor and coach project management talent while driving successful project delivery across the enterprise.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Project Managers to ensure consistent delivery of projects aligned with organizational goals. 

  • Oversee large-scale IT implementations and enterprise initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. 

  • Establish and enforce PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices across the project portfolio. 

  • Partner with business leaders to identify and execute process optimization and business transformation opportunities. 

  • Drive change management strategies to support the adoption of new systems and processes across the enterprise. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, executive leadership, and business-facing teams. 

  • Collaborate with other PMOs across the organization to standardize practices, share lessons learned, and strengthen enterprise portfolio governance. 

  • Provide coaching, career development, and performance feedback to Project Managers. 

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for projects and programs under PMO governance. 

  • Oversee vendor management, including negotiation, relationship development, and performance monitoring.

  • Champion the adoption of new technologies and tools that enhance project delivery, reporting, and resource management. 

  • Define and track KPIs to measure PMO effectiveness, project delivery success, and business value realization. 

  • Present project updates, risks, and outcomes to executive stakeholders and leadership teams. 

  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration across project teams and business units.
