Position Overview:
The Production Technician, Senior is responsible for all aspects of plant processing from post-crop harvest through packaging and labeling of the final product ready for customer sale as outlined by the management team. These responsibilities include assembling completed product materials into various containers and packages as well as ensuring that the appropriate quantity, weight, and type of product are packaged. The Production Technician, Senior provides leadership to the production team and strives to increase productivity and acts with professional regard to the management and use of all production facilities and processing equipment. All qualified applicants will be trained in the use of equipment for processing.

Pay: $21.50/hr
Hours: Mon - Thurs 7:00am - 5:45pm
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- Assists in the post-harvest plant processing of medical cannabis.
- Examples include weighing, packaging, labeling, recording, inspection of product in addition to cleaning and sanitation.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Weighs, packages, labels, records/tracks medical cannabis for distribution.
- Receives instructions and assist with tasks delegated by the Production Supervisor and management team.
- Works in a quick and efficient manner.
- Maintains a culture of professionalism and service.
- Ensures daily compliance with policies including but not limited to; state compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code and work schedules.
- Examines plants for signs of pests or disease.
- Complies with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
- All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s Degree in horticulture, plant science, manufacturing or business administration preferred.
- 2-4 years’ cultivation and or processing experience in a pharmaceutical setting. Food processing experience a strong plus.
- Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope production activities, both operations and analysis.
- This position requires an individual to possess an insurable driving record and a valid driver’s license.
- Basic scientific understanding of weights, packaging and quality control.
- All positions deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
- Speed and precision with equipment and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of weights and measurement.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain work consistency daily.
- High attention to detail; leadership skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Standing/sitting for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift 5lbs without assistance.

Additional Abilities Required:
- The job requires physical activity, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting or moving up to 10 pounds (or more with a coworker). Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
