The Inside Sales Front Desk Race Fuels & Propane customer service representative would be responsible for interacting directly with customers face to face or telephonically to support the performance fuels division and support the headquarters of Duncan Oil. The primary functions of the role includes managing existing house accounts, supporting the outside sales team, corporate staff and facility care.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Representative
- Proactively assist walk-in type customers with Race Gas, Propane, and related items
- Operate cash register, credit card sales system including tabulating sales transactions, end of day drawer balance and deliver paperwork to Finance daily
- Operate bulk fuel system including pumping product for customers, monitoring inventory and ordering inventory of methanol/bulk fuels, pre-packaged fuels, marketing materials, pumping customer gas and ensure containers at bulk HQ1 are filled with product
- Manage sub-distributor network to include assisting current sub-distributors with selection of merchandise, placing orders of marketing material, maintain roster of contacts with sub-distributor and actively pursuing leads for anew sub-distributors
- Manage content of performance fuels social media page
- Manage Sponsorship Program to include the selection process, maintaining sponsorship contracts, recording sponsorship expenses for end of year budget, ensure sponsored racers have adequate marketing material and adhering to contractual requirements
- Marketing and hosting sponsor events at main office
- Monitor division sales and profit metrics and recommend changes as needed
- Day to day operations
- Answer main phoneline and respond to voicemails in a timely manner
- Receive and sign for courier packages communicating to recipients
- Operate forklift to receive bulk deliveries
- Fill propane tanks
- Maintain organized warehouse/shop for personnel and customers
- Maintain office cleanliness –main floor and restroom facilities
- Securing propane station and work area when closing

- Monthly Fire Extinguisher Checklist
- Monthly AST/BUSTR checklists
- Participate in commercials/community outreach
Operational Tasks: Training will be provided.
- Use a forklift to load or offload skid type shipments (training provided)
- Stocking fuel products as needed
- Use Electric gasoline pumps (training provided)
- Use a propane filling station (training provided)
- General clean up including vacuuming and cleaning bathroom
- Must be hardworking, reliable, clean driving record required , superb customer service
- Communicates and coordinates with Propane team
Requirements
- At least 2 years in customer service with some B2B experience preferred
- Associate’s Degree in business, sales, or marketing preferred
- Able to lift up to 70 pounds
- Experience with racing/cars is a plus but not necessary
