About the role

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: King of Prussia, PA

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Hourly pay range: $20.00 - $23.00

What we’re looking for 

  • Education: High school diploma required 

  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of material handling and inventory replenishment experience is required 

  • Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred 

  • Experience using inventory management systems such as Inventory Manager (IM) and SAP.

  • Strong computer literacy and experience working with various software systems.

  • Ability to manage and maintain stock levels in a high-powered environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and protocols.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Prior experience in lab inventory management or a related field is a plus

How you will thrive and create an impact 

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

  • Place orders in the necessary computer systems (Inventory Manager (IM), SAP).

  • Assist in the set-up of new stocking locations.

  • Receive, inspect, label, organize, and put away orders from RDC and direct from supplier shipments.

  • Monitor and update signage and labels as needed

  • Review, maintain, and adjust inventory stocking levels according to demand increases and decreases.

  • Monitor Received Stock, UOM, and 90 Day No Move reports monthly.

  • Review backorders daily.

  • Assist end users with sourcing products, expediting, and various other customer service needs. Utilize IM and SAP to source requests and needs.

  • Ensure 5S principles are followed in managing the POU inventory

  • Respond to all emails and voicemails regarding all business questions promptly and professionally with a proper answer or direction.

  • Enter or delete products from the Inventory Manager system using the Change Control Form as needed.
