About the Role:

The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence, reporting to the Director of FP&A, plays a pivotal role in driving transformation of reporting and innovation in financial analysis across Revenue, Transaction Costs, and Marketing functions for Remitly. This dynamic position offers high visibility, fostering impactful contributions and partnering with senior leaders across the organization to steer strategic decisions and long-term growth.

You Will:

  • Lead design and implementation of financial automation opportunities across Business Management, Global Market Management, Risk, and Marketing functions at Remitly
  • Spearhead the implementation of a new automated forecasting process, building and improving upon current methodology to deliver real-time insights to leaders
  • Drive strategic partnerships and cross-functional projects, leading training and change management for the implementation of new tools and processes
  • Establish a robust data driven framework for evaluating resource decisions, ensuring the highest Return on Investment Capital (ROIC)
  • Collaborate with analytics leaders cross-functionally on long-term investment strategies to drive efficient and sustainable growth
  • Identify and lead projects to enhance, automate, and scale processes related to cost allocations and revenue opportunities
  • Partner with FP&A and engineering teams to ensure data integrity and build out the future state of data at Remitly in a multi-product world
  • Enhance revenue and cost allocation reporting and transparency, implementing automated dashboards with key metrics and benchmarking
  • Support the FP&A team with other ad hoc projects and analyses that leverage data sets to drive insights

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science, statistics, or related field, Masters Degree a plus
  • Over 10 years of professional experience in financial analytics, business intelligence, or data science
  • Extensive experience in driver-based financial planning and methodologies
  • A passion for continuous process improvement and automation opportunities
  • Demonstrated experience solving complex business problems with technology solutions
  • A love for analyzing data to identify problems and implement solutions, comfortable with large volumes of complex data and presenting findings to senior management
  • Expert in data manipulation using tools such as MS Excel, Google Sheets, including complex spreadsheets, functions, and macros
  • High proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and R
  • Experience creating dashboards with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $152,000-$190,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
