The Senior QA Automation Engineer, day to day will be working closely with the other Engineers in the squad ensuring the product is evolving to meet the overall roadmap and strategy, as well as working closely with the Staff QA Engineer and wider QA Guild in building out our automation test frameworks and best practices.</p><p>You will help evangelise test automation within the squad teams, be hands on with test automation initiatives and play a crucial role in supporting our agile software development lifecycle.</p><p></p><p></p><p> <strong>Responsibilities 🤘</strong></p><ul> <li>Design, enable, create, maintain and improve automated tests and their structure on both fronts Backend and Frontend.</li> <li>Embed testing early in the software development lifecycle by collaborating with developers, PM, EM, UX and stakeholders.</li> <li>Ensure early defect detection and prevention.</li> <li>Write clear and concise test cases.</li> <li>Identify, document and track defects.</li> <li>Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the overall quality and maintainability of the test automation codebase.</li> <li>Contribute to the overall QA strategy by suggesting and implementing process improvements, tools and technologies.</li> <li>Advocate and ensure best practices in quality and continuous testing.</li> <li>Propose and optimize testing process, continuously look for ways of improving.</li> </ul><p><br/></p><ul> </ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>What are we looking for? </strong><strong>🔎</strong> </p><ul> <li>Extensive experience in <strong>Automation testing across the entire stack</strong> (UI and API)</li> <li>Able to create, maintain and improve testing frameworks.</li> <li>Knowledge of programming languages ideally <strong>C#, </strong><strong>JavaScript</strong>, <strong>Typescript</strong></li> <li>Use of tools and frameworks -<strong> Playwright, Cypress, Junit, Postman, Saucelabs, Rest Assured</strong></li> <li>Solid understanding of all test levels and how they play together, ensuring a balanced and effective distribution of them.
