As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector - Enterprise Technology team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities

  • Works on Data storage solutions(Data Lakes, Data mesh, Snowflake, S3, Data Pond)
  • Experience with data preprocessing, Feature Engineering , ETL (Extract Transform Load) process and data pipeline creation.
  • Supports review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of enterprise data
  • Frequently uses SQL and understands NoSQL databases (Cassandra) and graph Databases(Tigergraph)
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Collaborate effectively with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders, and a willingness to stay updated with the latest trends in ML and MLOps.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experienced in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages Strong development skills in Java, Python, or Scala
  • Knowledge of data preprocessing, ETL processes, and data pipeline creation.
  • Experienced with data storage solutions, including SQL, NoSQL databases (Cassandra ), Data Lakes, and S3.
  • Proficiency in using cloud services like AWS EMR, EKS, EC2, and S3 for deploying and managing Machine Learning models.
  • Experienced with Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment processes using tools like Jenkins and Spinnaker.
  • Ability to deploy, scale, and manage ML models in production environments, optimizing for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues in Machine Learning pipelines and production systems.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as Kibana, Splunk, Elastic Search, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Datadog.
