This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Some limited travel required.

Purpose

The Senior Administrative Program Coordinator position will provide statewide Sequential Intercept Model (SIM) workshops to help communities identify resources and gaps, set priorities, and develop strategic action plans. The role will plan, prepare, implement, and provide follow-up to workshops. Please refer to: https://txbhjustice.org 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare county data workbooks prior to Sequential Intercept Model (SIM) Mapping workshops in order to support county planning and workshop preparation.
  • Co-facilitate workshops and collect data via process notes and process mapping.
  • Develop post-workshop county Sequential Intercept Model (SIM) reports, maps, and other documents.
  • Create additional content based on Sequential Intercept Model (SIM) activities in the form of news, events, or briefs for website posting, social media, or presentations for meetings/conferences.
  • Contribute to Sequential Intercept Model (SIM) evaluation and identify areas of strength and program improvement.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health (TIEMH) team, state agencies, and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in social work, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, or related field with at least 5 years of responsible level experience in program administration or program coordination. Knowledge of and experience in policy, programs, and/or services at the intersection between behavioral health, justice, and forensic systems. Ability to coordinate and collaborate with external stakeholders and facilitate multi-stakeholder meetings. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and on a team. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting software (Zoom, Microsoft Teams). Values the contributions of others in the work environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in the social work, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, or related field with at least 3 years of responsible level experience in program administration or program coordination. Experience with meeting facilitation. Extensive experience coordinating a multi-stakeholder program. Extensive experience working in policy, programs, and/or services at the intersection between behavioral health, justice, and forensic systems. Knowledge of Juvenile and Adult Sequential Intercept Models, including theory and practice.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $70,000

Working Conditions

Work Shift

  • M-F, Flexible between 8am-6pm
