Senior Communications Specialist (Contract)

On behalf of our client, TWS is searching for a Senior Communications Specialist, reporting directly to Head of Communications- Americas to join the team based in Houston, TX USA. About The Role:

Your main missions and responsibilities are as follows however will require flexibility as other duties may be assigned by supervisor:

• Support the Head of Communications with input on developing communication strategies and plans for various projects and campaigns.  
• Work closely with Project Managers and Subject matter experts to develop and implement those plans and produce a final product.
• Produce clear, concise, and compelling newsletters, press releases, social media posts, websites, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Tasks include ensuring all content aligns with Company brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and strategic priorities.
• Research, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of the communication product using various tools and metrics, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Ability to work with and develop relationships with external media representatives, as required.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external partners such as project managers, subject matter experts, consultants, customers, and media representatives to ensure the quality and consistency of the communication materials and deliverables.
• Knowledge of best practices and trends in public relations, media relations, and digital communications platforms.
• Proficiency in intranet posting and design, with the ability to create and maintain engaging and user-friendly web pages for internal communication and collaboration.
• Working knowledge in using various applications such as SharePoint, Teams, company intranet and standard MS applications. 
• Support internal communications efforts to provide information to employees, and contractors.

• Must be adept at working both independently as an individual contributor and on a team.
• Be tolerant and accepting of an ever-changing work environment including new applications and technologies.
• Candidate must have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. 
• 7+ years' experience in communications, content creation, development or media relation
• A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is strongly considered.
• A high level of creativity, initiative, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy while being enjoyable to work with
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, while managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

The following is a plus for a candidate to have: 

• Knowledge and experience in the Energy Industry.
• Experience in photography, video production and editing.  
• Strong Presentation Skills and Public Speaking

Languages: Highly proficiency English communications skills expected to perform the job with the ability to adapt to different tones, styles, and formats.  Prefer French communication experience as our Global Headquarters is in Paris.
