<p><span><b><u>External Job Description:</u></b></span></p><h3><span> </span></h3><h3><span>ERM is seeking a Senior Consultant for its Corporate Sustainability and Climate Change team in Madrid, Spain.</span></h3><p><span> </span></p><p><span>The successful candidate will be involved in a wide variety of corporate sustainability and climate change projects with national and international clients, in industries such as energy, tech, mining, food and beverage, fashion, logistics, real estate, hospitality, etc. The role involves working with a multicultural team in addressing client needs in areas such as climate risk assessments aligned with TCFD and CSRD, GHG emissions inventories, decarbonization strategies, biodiversity assessments aligned with TNFD, CDP questionnaire, ESG reports, and double materiality assessments aligned with the CSRD.</span></p><p><span> </span></p><p><span><span><b>Who we are: </b></span></span></p><p><span><span>As the largest global pure play sustainability consultancy, we partner with the world’s leading organizations, creating innovative solutions to sustainability challenges and unlocking commercial opportunities that meet the needs of today while preserving opportunity for future generations.</span></span></p><p><span> </span></p><p><span>At ERM, we are deeply committed to the well-being and professional development of our employees. Our workplace is respectful, open-minded, and promotes safety and well-being for all.</span></p><p><span> </span></p><h3><span>Technical Knowledge:</span></h3><ul><li><span><b>Educational Background</b>: Possess a relevant technical degree or have at least 3 years of experience in environmental consulting, climate change, or a related industry.</span></li><li><span><b>Industry Experience</b>: Prior experience in high-impact and high-complexity sectors is beneficial.</span></li><li><span><b>Strong expertise in GHG Accounting and Climate Risks Assessments</b>: Demonstrated expertise in GHG accounting and reporting principles, including familiarity with mechanisms and methodologies such as the GHG Protocol, SECR, SBTi, EEIO, etc. Demonstrated expertise in physical and transition risks assessment aligned with the TCFD.</span></li><li><span><b>Experience in ESG reporting and Double Materiality Assessments </b>in the context of the CSRD<b> </b>in a plus.</span></li><li><span><b>Problem-Solving Skills</b>: Ability to adapt to changing client needs and prioritize tasks in highly dynamic work environment. </span></li></ul><h3><span>Technical Skills:</span></h3><ul><li><span><b>Multi-tasking Ability</b>: Capable of managing and delivering multiple projects concurrently, each with unique requirements and timelines.</span></li><li><span><b>Business Development</b>: Experienced in drafting proposals and driving business growth.</span></li><li><span><b>Data Analysis</b>: Highly numerate with a strong ability to handle large datasets in Excel, performing complex conversions and calculations.</span></li><li><span><b>Communication Skills</b>: Exceptional written and oral presentation skills in both English and Spanish, with strong technical writing and ability to synthesize information into high-quality reports.</span></li></ul>
