Location: The Woodlands, Texas

Region Communications Director

 

As a member of the regional leadership team, implementing Bilfinger's communication and marketing strategy within the region, tailoring communication efforts to the unique needs and challenges of the regional business while aligning with the Group's communication policies and objectives. Oversee internal and external communication channels, including media relations, public relations, corporate messaging, and stakeholder engagement in the region, requiring a deep understanding of the regional market, cultural nuances, and communication trends. Collaborate with region senior management to build and maintain Bilfinger's reputation within the region. 

 

- Ensure implementation of global communications strategy in alignment with local needs. This includes identifying target audiences, crafting key messages, selecting appropriate communication channels that resonate with the local market and defining and overseeing the relevant communication budget.

- Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning within the region, while adhering to the corporate brand guidelines. This includes overseeing regional marketing communication initiatives, monitoring brand perception and budget, and implementing strategies to enhance brand awareness and reputation within the local market. 

- Generating engaging content for marketing materials, including websites, social media, advertisements, and other promotional materials.

- Oversee internal communication channels to ensure effective communication within the region both to the leadership teams and the employees. This includes employee engagement, creating and disseminating internal messages and facilitating two-way communication, to foster a positive internal communication climate. 

- Develop and implement crisis communication plans specific to the region to effectively handle and mitigate potential crises or issues that may impact Bilfinger's reputation. This includes providing timely and accurate information, managing local communication channels during crises, and coordinating response efforts in alignment with Bilfinger Group's crisis management strategy. 

- Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets to effectively communicate Bilfinger's key messages. This involves pitching stories, coordinating interviews, and leveraging media opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation within the region.

- Engage with regional stakeholders, including government entities, industry associations, and local partners, to build and maintain positive relationships. This involves understanding the unique regional dynamics, addressing local concerns, and collaborating with stakeholders to promote Bilfinger's goals and values.

- Engage with the Bilfinger Group Corporate Communications Team to ensure global alignment of strategic communications and messaging.

- Orchestrating both internal and external events, ensuring optimal attendance and engagement to amplify the overall impact and resonance of the brand and business targets
