Director of Business Application - Association Office

Manages, evaluates and maintains information system technologies, including training and supporting end-users, researching and implementing new technologies, establishing "best practices," and maximizing return on technology investments. This role is an individual contributor.

SALARY RANGE: $160,000 - $180,000/year

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manages and oversees business applications in partnership with IT Team.
• Identify and promote knowledge systems to support the organization in making intelligent decisions and building relationships that advance the strategic plan of the organization.
• Identify, promote, communicate and coordinate the sharing of knowledge assets that are current or need to be developed for the organization.
• Identify and implement improved processes that integrate people, program and the application of new technology to support center initiatives and action plans.
• Support the creation of a culture that fosters innovation, flexibility and adaptation.
• Maintain a technological infrastructure, including voice and data systems, to support center initiatives in a cost-effective manner.
• Evaluates issues pertaining to information systems for strategic planning and innovation.
• Studies most effective trends in technology applications and potential value to Y approach. Prioritizes with key stakeholders and develops plans for deployment.
• Develops and monitors budgets related to information technology. Monitors the costs involved in maintaining and improving information systems, including equipment and software. Evaluates and recommends technology purchases based on the YMCA's needs.
• Ensures proper operating procedures are in place in regard to technology and provides training as assigned.
• Collaborates with others within the organization in regards to processes, software, etc. to meet Association needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field; or equivalent.
2. 10 years of previous professional and/or management level IT experience
3. Experience in either database architecture/interfaces, database application or development
4. Solid understanding of Oracle, Eloqua, Portal architecture
5. Familiar with tools in use of SW development (SQL, JavaScript, CSS, etc.)
6. Capable of problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
7. Must be able to motivate and lead a team and demonstrate sound judgment, initiative and independent thinking.
8. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with staff, volunteers, YMCA members and the general public.
9. Ability to lead by example and inspire staff and volunteers to provide high quality, relevant services and programs to the local community and to fulfill the mission of the YMCA.
