About the role
The Senior Director, Finance Operations is an important contact for senior leaders across the enterprise. As a strategic partner, you will mature and scale the shared services/operations responsibility of the Finance department to help grow the business. The Senior Director, Finance Operations provides leadership for finance operations employees and cultivates a learning organization that promotes a culture of customer service and continuous improvement. You will oversee the activities of important functions such as Sourcing & Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Payroll. The Senior Director, Finance Operations identifies opportunities to expand the value of the function including advancing the transformation agenda. You will participate in the governance for all shared services, implementing appropriate business processes and internal controls, developing collaborative relations.
You will report to the SVP, Accounting.

Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role is: $172,800 - $226,800 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Directs all aspects of centralized finance services for our organization, including Sourcing & Procurement, Accounts Payable, T&E, and Payroll.
- Be an important partner to senior leadership on strategic initiative discussions by understanding the finance operations possible effects of multiple strategies and transactions.
- Assess talent and processes for improvement opportunities, offering recommendations for improvements and implementing new processes or changes to systems to support our goals.
- Determine strategy to achieve intended goals including the oversight and appropriate use of outsourced resources to result in a scalable and high-performing team
- Delivery of financial operations outputs
- Grow and report KPIs
- Ensure clear communications and hand-offs with all partners
- Develop internal controls, policies and related procedures.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 15+ years of relevant experience including leadership experience in Shared Services, Accounting Operations, or related fields.
- 15+ years of in-depth experience in procurement, accounts payable, and payroll.
- 10+ years of experience leading transformational work, including redesigning processes and building teams
- 10+ years of experience in a public company experience including equity transactions
- Successful track record in operating a control environment
- 10+ years of experience managing vendors and working with outsourcing providers

Pay Transparency:
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
