Job Summary:
The Large Power Systems Division currently has an opening for an Engineering Team Lead within our Aftertreatment & Exhaust Systems (AT&ES) performance engineering team. The Engineering Team Lead acts as a lead and an individual contributor, bringing technical expertise to the project as well as leading/coordinating the efforts of others. This role will give you the opportunity to help meet the EPA Tier 5 regulations by creating new and innovative aftertreatment design solutions. With your help, our products will continue to significantly reduce harmful diesel and gas engine exhaust emissions.
What you will do:
This role resides within the Aftertreatment & Exhaust Systems team and is focused on the selection and development of aftertreatment systems for a wide range of applications such as locomotive, marine, and Cat machines. This includes evaluating options for aftertreatment systems across a range of criteria, such as cost, performance, reliability, and life. In addition, the incumbent will develop and drive the strategy for providing cost effective aftertreatment systems into the future. This role also serves as team lead for aftertreatment performance, bringing technical expertise to the project as well as leading/coordinating the efforts of others.
Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities
Coordinate resources across the businesses with sales and marketing, product development groups, value chain and manufacturing
Oversee project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems
Direct project staffing; motivating and developing project team and team members.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline
Professional engineering experience
