Regional Manufacturing Technology Engineer (Relocation Provided)

Job Purpose and Impact
The Regional Manufacturing Technology Engineer will provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in the specialties technology area, primarily focusing on Plant Protein, to support operations and optimize the performance of existing assets by partnering with the manufacturing excellence team and other functions. In this role, you will work to drive efficient and safe performance of each unit operation including process capabilities, hazard analysis, performance monitoring, technical training and process improvements, support the training and development for the specific manufacturing technology and technical design and analysis for projects. This position will also be involved with technical support in our dry packagin processes across the region.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct analysis on opportunities to support and/or deploy strategies.
- Assess technical performance of assets to identify gaps and practical improvement solutions.
- Provide oversight for the implementation of improvement projects, plans, technics, tools and quality standards across sites.
- Apply work processes as designed within the specific manufacturing technology domain.
- Provide manufacturing technology expertise to plants, working with local teams, manufacturing technology strategy and governance teams, other subject matter experts, external experts and technical support to identify and resolve root causes to emerging issues.
- Responsible for deployment of risk management practices and safeguards within a specific manufacturing technology, understanding safety, process safety, food safety, regulatory and environmental standards, policies and codes.
- Act as a resource for plants on current safety standards and enhance the future safety of our facilities.
- Provide leadership in administering and support the creation of related policies for plants in alignment with manufacturing technology governance.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Project or initiative management experience
- Experience in multiple domains such as engineering, production, reliability and capital excellence, research and development and operations management
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Six years related work experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
- Experience with Process Safety processes
- Experience with related manufacturing technology/unit operations
