At Franciscan, our Pharmacy Technician Courier drivers use hospital vehicles, or their own vehicles as appropriate, to provide courier service for Franciscan Pharmacies. In this role you will be responsible for the transport and delivery of medications and supplies to off-site locations and home deliveries. During periods when there are no deliveries, the technician will perform pharmacy operational tasks including the preparation and selling of medications.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Drive courier service vehicle or own vehicle to transport prescriptions and supplies to their intended location.

• Deliver "stat" pick-ups, bringing prescriptions or packages directly to the requestor as soon as possible.

• Answer cell phone from a requestor within five (5) minutes of notification.  Monitor, keep track and secure all pharmacy prescription signature and fuel receipts and delivers them to the Pharmacy Manger on a daily basis.

• Answer the telephone, identifying self and department. Respond to customer requests and complaints. Resolve issues and concerns of those we are privileged to serve. Direct outstanding inquiries, issues or concerns to appropriate staff.

• Dispense medications following the organization's policies and procedures. Deliver medication and ensure appropriate handling and storage.

• Place medication orders per physician request, pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required High School Diploma/GED

• 1 year Pharmacy Required

• 3 years Retail Pharmacy Preferred

• 1 year Outpatient Hospital Pharmacy Preferred

• 1 year Epic Willow Ambulatory Preferred

• Pharmacy Tech, State Cert (PHT) - State Licensing Board

• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board

• Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

• Pharmacy Intern Permit (PHINTERN) - State Licensing Board

• Drivers License - Drivers License
