Job Summary
Weekday, M-F Pharmacy Technician ShiftAssists pharmacists and administrative staff in the provision of pharmaceutical care services. Responsible for participation in pharmacy operations, medication distribution, inventory control, Omnicell usage, and maintenance of personal technical competency. Assists administrative staff in advancement of pharmacy practice through assigned projects.
Technical skills required include expertise in Omnicell use and medication preparation. Additionally, provides exemplary customer service, contributes to the efficient operation and productivity of the Pharmacy Department, and displays the interest and motivation to achieve excellence in pharmacy practice in the institutional setting.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials
MA Pharmacy Technician - required
Pharmacy Technician Certification [CPhT] - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required
Experience
Experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a healthcare or retail pharmacy setting 2-3 years
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and prescription processing.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems and other relevant technology.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to perform accurate calculations and measurements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with pharmacy practice settings, legal requirements and limitations, prescription information and calculations, drug identification and generic equivalents, drug manufacturing, packaging and labeling information, and proper drug handling and storage practices.
