The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on an experienced leader in our Retirement Plan Services Business who will have responsibility for leading the strategic transformation of the business.  As the VP of Application Development/Domain Lead, you will lead an already experienced and dynamic team.  Lincoln’s Retirement Plan Services Business is evolving and embracing technology transformation across the board, and this Application Development VP will help create the roadmap for how solutions are architected and implemented for years to come.  

What you'll be doing

  • Partner closely with Retirement Plans Services business leaders to implement technology aligned with their key strategies.
  • Create a strategic roadmap of Lincoln’s Retirement Plan Services business, including elimination of redundancy of applications and determining what software will service which demographic sector for years to come.
  • Lead an agile team of experienced software engineers and technical leads.
  • Move the Retirement Plan Services organization forward in its Cloud Migration.  
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring service delivery expectations are achieved and maintenance of compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies
  • Lead with a transformative mindset, setting a clear strategic direction to achieve goals through innovation and continuous improvement initiatives

What we’re looking for

Must Haves: 

  • 15+ Years experience in application development that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position 
  • Strategic Transformation in a large enterprise application development environment
  • Leading with Service based Architecture.
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience (Minimum Required)
  • Must have experience leading application development in the Retirement business of the Insurance industry

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with strategic cloud transformation with AWS 
  • Mainframe to cloud transformation experience

The pay range for this position is $157,000 - $285,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
