At BWXT, the HR Business Partner plays a pivotal role in aligning human resources practices with the strategic goals of the organization. They serve as consultants, bridging the gap between HR functions and business objectives. Responsibilities
As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for but limited to:
- Consult with Management: Collaborate closely with managers to provide daily HR guidance. Understand their needs and challenges and offer tailored solutions.
- Analyze Trends and Metrics: Dive into HR data to identify trends, track performance, and make informed decisions. Use metrics to forecast & drive improvements.
- Resolve Complex Employee Relations Issues: Tackle sensitive matters, such as conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary actions. Strive for fair resolutions that maintain a respectful work environment and promote positive employee relations.
- Promote Employee Development: Partner with management and employees to enhance work relationships, foster career development, lead succession planning, boost morale, and increase productivity.
- Provide HR Policy Guidance: Interpret and communicate HR policies to employees at all levels of the organization, ensuring compliance and consistency across the organization.
- Monitor Workforce Planning: Partner with leadership and Talent Acquisition to provide full cycle support for the site’s hiring needs to include requisition creation; interview participation; hiring manager consultation; offer creation/delivery; onboarding and presentation of new hire orientation.
- Suggest New HR Strategies: Innovate! Propose fresh approaches to improve processes, decrease span, improve employee experiences, and further BWXT’s mission.
Requirements and Skills

- Experience: Solid background in HR practices, employee management, and organizational development.

Minimum Requirements

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or closely related field.

A minimum of two (2) years of related experience in human resouces.

Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.
The base salary range for this position in Virginia at the start of employment is expected to be between $62,000 and $109,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and
