Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee daily bookkeeping activities in accordance with Polish accounting standards and IFRS, including accounts payable, fixed assets, advance reports, bank reconciliations, payroll, and tax calculations.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with Polish regulations.
• Ensure the accurate preparation and timely filing of tax returns, including VAT, CIT, and related compliance activities.
• Handle VAT refund processes and ensure compliance with tax legislation.
• Prepare and submit required statistical reports (e.g., GUS).
• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities, supporting audits and regulatory inspections.
• Review monthly salary calculations, payouts, and per diems in collaboration with a third-party payroll provider.
• Support the preparation of management reports for the parent company using NetSuite.
• Generate periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in optimizing and streamlining accounting processes for operational efficiency.

Requirements

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in Polish accounting, tax, and labor legislation.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in statutory accounting or financial reporting.
• Demonstrated experience in managing external audits and cooperating with tax authorities.
• Familiarity with the accounting practices of international companies, preferably within the IT sector.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong English communication skills (upper-intermediate or above).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Practical knowledge of daily accounting tasks, statutory reporting, VAT compliance, and payroll review.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to generate actionable insights for stakeholders.
