PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
 

The SAP Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is continuously transforming, to keep up with the fast-changing environment (new technologies with rapid innovation cycles, rising stakeholder expectations and regulations). GPO develops into an agile & strategic procurement organization and strives for an optimal collaboration and partnership with all relevant stakeholders as part of the entire ecosystem.

ABOUT THE GPO CATEGORY AND SUB-CATEGORY
 

The Professional Services Category Team is part of the Global Procurement Organization and provides excellent business partnering to our internal and external stakeholders. The category is responsible for the definition and execution of global sourcing strategies and the respective Governance model in close collaboration with business owners, Legal, Controlling, as well as for effective stakeholder- and supplier management across the globe. In this regard the category is overall accountable for all sourcing activities related to Professional Services, such as Financial Services, Legal Services, Strategy & Business Consulting, HR Services and Travel Services.
 

For the sub-category HR Services, we seek a Category Buyer with a strong Procurement background and with strong focus on internal business partnerships and world class supplier management. The successful candidate will bring substantial category experience and must be an innovative, energetic and a dynamic self-starter, who is able to deliver exceptional results.
 

The Category Buyer for HR Services will support the respective Category Manager and the implementation of the category strategy. Besides procurement-related tasks she / he will be responsible for Stakeholder Management including Demand Management and act as procurement leader & trusted business partner for all LoB representatives. This includes monitoring market trends and alignment on business requirements to ensure, that the procurement strategy perfectly fits.

An integral part of the job will be the coordination and execution of key strategic sourcing initiatives as well as professional supplier relationship management.

• Act as consultant and trusted business value enabler for key stakeholders. 
• Understand and determine business requirements. 
• Responsible for supplier management and sourcing strategies as well as strategic sourcing events. 
• Seek continuously opportunities for improvements, innovations, and savings. 
• Perform market analyses / benchmarking and explore market capabilities to gain market intelligence. 
• Focus on business needs / values and relationship management of internal and external key stakeholders according to stakeholder matrix.

 
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 
 

• University degree preferably in Business Administration or a related field. 
• Understanding of end-to-end procurement and sourcing strategies. 
• Open-minded and willing to drive change.
• Fluent English (spoken, written). 
• Ability to work in international teams and virtual environment. 
• Solid stakeholder- and supplier management and excellent communication and negotiation skills, strategic thinking. 
• Demonstrate excellent communication, analytical and negotiation skills.

 
WORK EXPERIENCE 
 

• 5+ years’ experience in progressive procurement and category management experience within a multinational business. 
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and to crystalize business requirements and to translate them into actionable procurement activity. 
• Ability to establish clear priorities and effectively manage multiple demand and time resources. 
• Experience working in a fast-paced complex environment.
