Your role at Clorox:
The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a Quality Technician position. This facility uses automated packaging equipment and utilities to manufacture and distribute Home Care and Laundry products. The ideal Quality Technician would possess experience in the analytical field to include basic knowledge of wet chemical analyses, Good Laboratory Practices, be an effective communicator, and work well in a fast-paced production environment. The successful person in this role must be able to effectively influence their peers. Candidate must possess the desire and willingness to learn and develop new processes as business needs to change.Starting Hourly rate: $28.62. Shift-12hr. schedule, operating in a 2-2-3, in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. Offering excellent compensation and benefits package.
In this role, you will:
Individuals interested should have qualified at a minimum at the Group III level.
Perform wet chemical analyses.
Prepare and standardize lab stock reagents as needed.
Order, receive, stock, and maintain inventory of chemicals, reagents, and consumable supplies.
Interpret MSDS information with respect to lab chemicals and finished products.
Identify tests to perform based on product testing matrices.
Record data in computer and/or logbooks and compose SPC charts for data analysis.
Use of SAP to retrieve product specifications and test limits.
Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to include scales, pH meters, viscometers, and auto titrators.
Maintain housekeeping in the department as required .
Demonstrate the proper use of lab-ware including volumetric and non-volumetric. Including menisci reading for graduated cylinder/burette/volumetric flasks.
Complete Scale verifications for laboratory and packing line scales.
Complete sensory analysis on finished product and ingredients.
Conduct Finish Case Inspections and other Quality checks on Packaging Lines.
Prepare and maintain Target/Reject bottles.
Support WCM processes including Early Management, Daily Operations, and other Pillars.
What we look for:
Ability to prepare a standard calibration curve using internal and external standards for quantitative analyses, with emphasis on calibration curve theory.
Recognize data trends in results using Statistical Process Control and determine appropriate course of action.
Ability to operate, troubleshoot and maintain analytical instrumentation such as, but not limited to, colorimeter, viscometer, and auto titrator.
Follow and interpret test methods accurately to ensure consistency and reproducibility of results.
Maintain laboratory through workplace organization (WPO.)
Manage workload and prioritize daily responsibilities.
Possess good troubleshooting skills.
Perform tests with a high degree of accuracy to support tight production specifications.
Ability to write, revise and update SOPs and other documentation.
Knowledge and understanding of analytical techniques, including quantitative and qualitative chemical analyses.
Demonstrate safe laboratory practices with respect to PPE and chemical handling.
Intermediate computer skills with experience in Microsoft applications.
