Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH!MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Information Security Analyst to join our team at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), DC. This is an onsite position.
As an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) IV, you will serve as the lead technical authority for ensuring the cybersecurity of project information systems and maintaining a strong organizational security posture. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle security of information systems supporting critical Special Access Programs (SAPs), from initial requirements scoping through ongoing maintenance and upgrades. This role requires a strong understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG), and secure coding/architecture principles.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure all system designs adhere to stringent cybersecurity requirements and information assurance standards.
- Present system status updates to stakeholders and coordinate engagement status and planning with the United States Government (USG) Point of Contact (POC).
- Support the cybersecurity efforts of project information systems by implementing effective controls and countermeasures to maintain a robust organizational security posture.
- Verify and implement critical system updates, patches, and routine maintenance to ensure continuous operational availability and security compliance.
- Conduct technical research and analysis on Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) cybersecurity solutions to evaluate effectiveness as security tools and data sources.
- Optimize cybersecurity processes and implement security controls to mitigate organizational risks and strengthen system integrity.
- Provide technical supervision and mentorship to subordinate staff while executing mission-critical tasks under the guidance of senior leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology (IT) related discipline.
- Twelve (9) years of total relevant experience.
- Educational Equivalencies:
- High School + 13 years’ experience
- Associates + 11 years’ experience
- Master's + 7 years’ experience
- PhD + 5 years’ experience
- Five (5) years of position-specific relevant experience in cybersecurity engineer
