SUMMARY: As a Senior District Manager, you will lead multiple teams of management focused on operational excellence across Waterparks and Family Entertainment Centers (FECs). You will be responsible for leading, managing, and developing our management teams across a variety of attractions, food and beverage operations, and guest services. You will be an active member of the Operation’s leadership team and help to shape strategy, as well as ensure that the company’s strategic initiatives are executed successfully in your market.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader and operator familiar with high-growth, seasonal, and guest-centric environments such as Waterparks and FECs. They are skilled at managing a P&L, are an effective communicator, and are self-motivated with a high standard of excellence. The Senior District Manager maximizes a district’s revenue and cash flow growth through effective use of people, processes, and planning. The Senior District Manager must provide leadership and vision to the management staff in support of Lucky Strike Entertainment’s mission and values, with a strong focus on guest safety, attraction reliability, and fun-driven service.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Monitors and drives flawless execution to ensure all aspects of the business—attractions, rides, arcades, food & beverage, and event spaces—meet established operating standards and strategic initiatives.
  • Works with managers to review their talent pool, provides guidance on staffing needs, and ensures staffing levels are sufficient to manage peak periods, weather fluctuations, and seasonal demands typical of Waterparks and FECs.
  • Recruits, selects, hires, trains, and retains managers who are passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience and achieving profitability goals across diverse family-oriented entertainment offerings.
  • Identifies the training needs of managers, including safety compliance (e.g., lifeguard certification, first aid, ride operations); conducts one-on-one or group training as necessary; follows up with mentoring and ongoing development.
  • Sets performance goals with managers; conducts evaluations and skills assessments; creates development and succession plans aligned with the unique staffing models and guest needs of Waterparks and FECs.
  • Reviews and educates teams on cost control opportunities, especially in labor scheduling, food & beverage waste, and maintenance spend; takes corrective action where necessary.
  • Develops and fosters a strong sales and upsell culture amongst managers—emphasizing group sales, season passes, party/event bookings, and retail.
  • Continually inspects the district’s operational and guest service standards, including guest flow, queue management, cleanliness, and attraction uptime; consistently communicates these standards and holds management accountable.
  • Proactively meets or exceeds guest expectations; handles complaints quickly and professionally; redirects teams toward improved service and operational execution.
  • Conducts regular site visits to ensure consistency in operations, safety protocols, and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensures managers have specific, focused, and well-executed business plans consistent with the District’s overall strategy. Evaluates financial performance and supports the development of location-specific action plans.
  • Ensures strict adherence to policies and procedures related to alcoholic beverage service, food safety, water safety, health/sanitation, lifeguard readiness, and all relevant local and state regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees and enforces preventive maintenance protocols across facilities to ensure attractions, water systems, and equipment remain safe and operational.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended workdays to support business needs, especially during peak seasons and special events.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: General Managers

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Senior District Managers possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity, respect for all individuals (guests, vendors, and employees), excellent communication, and strong critical and analytical thinking. Must be proficient with POS systems, scheduling tools, spreadsheets, inventory software, and internet-based operational systems. Must demonstrate basic business math, accounting, and strong decision-making abilities.
