Summary of Role

This position has overall responsibility for Talent Acquisition across the US for GF, and will manage all aspects of the function, including both tactical, short-term needs and long-term, strategic growth and scale. This person will own alignment of the TA strategy to the hiring plan globally for key major functions. Reporting to the VP, Global TA, this is a people manager position to lead a high performing TA team managing robust hiring demand. You will also drive some global initiatives for major functions, and will also play an important role as part of the senior leadership team for US HR and as a member of the Global TA Leadership team

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Own the planning and execution of our hiring strategy for the US and for major functions to ensure GF meets business target headcount goals

  • Align TA recruiting capacity with immediate and long-term needs

  • Drive external employer branding and event strategy for the US by partnering with internal and external resources

  • Continue to leverage HR’s centralized resources for process improvement and scale

  • Constant process improvement. Drive best practice execution, process optimization and administrative relief that will empower more execution and focus for recruiters

  • Own reporting and analytics for your hiring areas, and leverage to drive updates, transparency, and predictability. Use data to provide insights for recommendations for hiring strategy.

  • Expand current and identify new talent pools to empower longer term scale huge future growth.

  • Strengthen our focus and process for US university level hiring.

  • Build close partnerships with peer HR leaders in COE’s and HRBP’s to ensure alignment and transparency.

  • Establish best practices and processes to drive compliance with corporate and government hiring requirements. Interpret requirements and build adherence strategy.

  • Provide leadership to a team of 10+. Provide direction and strategic development. Handle escalations. Provide coaching and career growth. Make decisions and recommendations as appropriate with the role.

  • Field ongoing complex challenges where analysis and project planning, project management, delegation and execution are required.

  • Exercise judgment in situations where team members or managers need guidance on processes and policies; develop and/or strengthen our processes with input and awareness of necessary stakeholders.

  • Drive customized strategies for different functions, fabs, and geos locations as needed.

  • Manage and provide work direction for day-to-day activities for all team members.

  • Partner with VP, TA on creating a viable and executable budget, and adhere to that budget.

  • Make recommendations for organizational design and assignments to drive maximum effectiveness. This includes, but is not limited to, coverage strategy, use of the TA “hubs”, and org structure as a whole.

  • Be hands on with our systems and process. Periodically own and run searches end-to-end including candidate pipelining, stakeholder management, assessment and selection.

  • Support Executive Hiring across assigned domains.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive responsibility and managing Talent Acquisition at a large scale

  • 5+ years owning the TA function for a major, large business area and/or geography

  • Experience managing senior individual contributors and experience managing managers

  • Experience driving process improvement for hiring processes and systems

  • Proven ability to own executive relationships and confidence in reporting and presenting

  • Ability to identify reporting needs and building these reports

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Hands on experience with recruiting systems Recruiting-tech-savvy
