What you’ll do:

As a Product Owner for our workforce Identity and Access Management (IAM) product suite, you will drive the modernization of our authentication and authorization landscape for AT&T employees around the world. Your primary mission will be to own and oversee the retirement of legacy Identity Provider components, identify and migrate client applications to modern IAM solutions, and ensure a seamless transition for all stakeholders. You will leverage advanced data analytics and log analysis to pinpoint legacy usage, understand client needs, and guide the migration process, all while maintaining robust security and compliance standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Legacy Component Ownership & Retirement:

    • Serve as the primary owner for legacy Identity Provider components, developing and executing strategies for their deprecation and retirement.

    • Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to ensure legacy systems are phased out with minimal disruption.

  • Migration Leadership:

    • Use log analysis and data analytics to identify applications and clients dependent on legacy IAM components.

    • Engage with application owners to understand their use cases, requirements, and constraints.

    • Develop and manage migration roadmaps, ensuring timely and effective adoption of modern IAM solutions.

  • Product Ownership & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Define and prioritize product requirements, balancing technical debt reduction with business value.

    • Maintain a clear product vision and backlog, aligning with organizational strategy and compliance needs.

    • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making:

    • Analyze large and complex data sets (e.g., authentication logs, access patterns) to inform migration priorities and measure success.

    • Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track migration progress and legacy system usage.

  • Security & Compliance:

    • Ensure all migration and retirement activities adhere to company security policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

    • Support incident response and risk assessment activities related to IAM systems.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Gather feedback from stakeholders to refine IAM solutions and migration processes.

    • Stay current with industry trends in identity, access management, and data analytics.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in product ownership, program management, or a related role, preferably in IAM or cybersecurity.

  • Demonstrated experience with data analytics, log analysis, or managing large/complex data sets.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, CISSP, or similar) are a plus.
