Position Summary Information
Responsibilities
1. Plan, coordinate, and support daily business operations of the Athletics Department.
2. Develop, implement, and evaluate operational policies, procedures, and workflow systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Coordinate activities between athletics, university administration, finance offices, and external stakeholders.
4. Manage departmental communications, documentation systems, and records in accordance with institutional standards.
5. Oversee financial operations for multiple athletic and foundation accounts, ensuring compliance with institutional and governmental accounting standards.
6. Prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial reports, budgets, and account statements.
7. Process financial transactions, including purchase requisitions, travel authorizations, and departmental expenditures.
8. Manage revenue tracking, invoicing, and accounts receivable processes.
9. Support budget planning, forecasting, and fiscal year transitions through financial data analysis.
10. Conduct compliance reviews to ensure adherence to NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations.
11. Interpret and apply regulatory guidelines to departmental operations and student-athlete eligibility processes.
12. Prepare and maintain compliance reports, documentation, and audit-ready records.
13. Serve as liaison with compliance, finance, and university offices to support audits, reviews, and reporting requirements.
14. Analyze financial, operational, and compliance data to support decision-making and improve efficiency.
15. Develop and maintain reporting systems to track key performance indicators, including budget utilization and compliance metrics.
16. Coordinate departmental human resource functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and personnel actions.
17. Process employment documentation and manage leave and compensation tracking.
18. Supervise student employees and graduate assistants, including hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluation.
19. Plan, coordinate, and support athletic events and departmental programs, including logistics, staffing, and resource allocation.
20. Collaborate with coaches, faculty, and administrators to align operations with institutional priorities.
21. Communicate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to stakeholders.
22. Develop, review, and administer contracts, including game agreements, sponsorships, and vendor services.
23. Maintain centralized contract records and monitor compliance with terms, deliverables, and payment schedules.
24. Process contract-related financial transactions, including invoicing and payment tracking.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Sports Management, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial management, organizational operations, and regulatory compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Sports Management, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial management, organizational operations, and regulatory compliance
- Master’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field
- Experience in collegiate athletics administration, compliance, and financial operations
- Knowledge of NCAA regulations and public-sector budgeting practices
