About the role

The Security Officer inspects, monitors, controls, and patrols work sites, an assigned facility, and/or people, and may be expected to collect and complete paperwork. Maintains security at all hospital outlets. The position relies on guidelines and some experience and judgment to complete job and works under general supervision. 

  1. Keep daily reports accurate and neat.
  2. Checks equipment to insure safety.
  3. Understands the access control system.
  4. Carries out assignments as directed.
  5. Demonstrates an understanding of policy and procedures.
  6. Treats confidential information appropriately.
  7. Regularly reports security incidents to supervisor.
  8. Handles emergency/crisis situations appropriately.
  9. Demonstrates correct behavior when dealing with violent or potentially violent circumstances.
  10. Assists others when necessary.
  11. Demonstrates a consistent level of performance.
  12. Enforces rules of the organization with pleasant attitude.
  13. Supports the Mission and Values of OLL.
  14. Demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities for all populations.
  15. Focuses on the customer; identifies the customer's needs; responds to the customer; satisfies the customer; takes ownership.
  16. Responds immediately to customer's needs and solving repetitive service problems.
  17. Demonstrates enthusiasm and positive attitude with customers.

REQUIRED TO QUALIFY FOR THE POSITION

  • 2 years required - prior law enforcement, Military, and/or Corrections preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • HS Diploma or equivalent 
  • POST Weapons Certification
