Description of Work

The primary purpose of this position is to bring management level support to Case Management functions as they relate to the OCME and statewide medical examiner system. The employee provides expertise in billing, quality assurance/quality improvement, file room management, team leadership, and special projects. This employee will serve as the direct supervisor for four of the case management specialists, directing daily case management workflows, providing billing support, training employees, and other leadership duties which serve directly under the Case Management Program Supervisor for the unit. This position will also work on special projects with the OCME Operations Manager on an as-needed basis.

Key Duties:
* Report of Investigation and Autopsy Report Processing

* Review and manage with the Case Management Supervisor the case management policies and procedures closing medical examiner’s cases and ensure that these processes meet NAME accreditation standards.

* Gather performance metrics and track errors, with the data being used to identify trends that should be addressed in staff training as well as updated policies and procedures.

* Serve as the direct supervisor for the case management team and support the Case Management Program Supervisor.

* Overseeing daily tasks and work performance of the team.

* Supports the Operations Manager on projects which support the administrative function of the OCME including, but not limited to, HR functions within the OCME and high-level, administrative projects.

Salary Grade Range $45,431 - $79,504

Recruitment Range $45,431 - $63,304

**Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours**

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

  • Previous OCME/ Case Management experience
