Responsibilities:

• Build excellent relationships with the supplier Account Managers and Customer Service Representatives.

• Manage alternative sourcing of raw materials to ensure supply demands are met.

• Partner with Supply Chain to solve all supply issues.

• Develop and implement solutions to issues potentially affecting the flow of raw material samples and support of customers.

• Ongoing communication with supplier contacts to be aware of new products in the marketplace, including attendance at trade shows.

• Manage the optimization of the raw material sample and activation process.

• Build cross-functional relationships for the betterment of the Chem-Trend Operations team.

• Solicit raw material price, standard packaging sizes and lead time, as part of the raw material sample process.

• Support Chem-Trend Regulatory department with identification of global registry prior to lab development activity.

• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.

• Work closely with M&T Laboratories, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Operations staff to properly forecast new product timelines and sales.

• Manage and facilitate improved communication and smooth interface between departments and individuals regarding plans, programs or problems.

• Facilitate and recommend second source opportunities.

• Maintain a comprehensive One-Note database that includes vendor notes and feedstock information.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in an Industrial Chemical Environment

• Lean manufacturing knowledge, preferred

• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP), SAP preferred

• 3+ years’ experience is Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and Problem Solving
