The Role You Will Have:
- Build and develop features of the MapQuest and RoadWarrior applications: Transform and modernize our applications used by millions of people around the globe using React Native, GraphQL, Swift, Kotlin and other modern tools and frameworks.
- Architect a library of mobile building blocks: Unlock our team’s ability to innovate by building and maintaining a core library of flexible mobile components.
- Automate, optimize, fortify: Leverage CI/CD tools to automate tasks, reduce chance of human error, and improve developer experience. Analyze application logs and RUM data, proactively seek opportunities to improve application metrics and performance. Develop unit and e2e tests to improve confidence in the application functionality.
- Own tasks end to end, taking projects through the full engineering lifecycle: From concept to deployment, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality features and improvements.
- Collaborate and problem solve with engineers and stakeholders: Work closely with a talented team to identify challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy and lightweight planning processes: Enjoy the freedom to make impactful decisions while maintaining a focus on agile methodologies.
What You Will Bring:
- 5+ years of development experience: proven track record in building, maintaining, and delivering complex mobile applications using React Native.
- A proven track record of delivering production-ready apps to the iOS App Store and Google Play Store
- Experience building software libraries used across multiple applications
- Excellent communication and time management skills: Ability to clearly articulate ideas and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines.
- A plus if you have also worked with Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C and/or Java
- Also a plus if you have experience building across web and mobile
