The Technical Account Lead-Automotive OEM will manage technical service specialist at accounts. They will assist with coordinating technical, inventory, projects and activities for their direct reports and sites. They also respond to customer needs and complaints.
This position is field based-onsite and will support our customers located in the Detroit, MI area.
Travel for this role is up to 50%; position offers a company car.

- Enhancing chemical performance by recommending and implementing strategies that boost productivity, increase effectiveness, and reduce costs.
- Responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries about products, projects, and information.
- Leading and coordinating teams across multiple sites with clarity and purpose.
- Reviewing process performance with customers to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost improvements.
- Developing, training, and motivating operators and direct reports to achieve chemical treatment program goals.
- Ensuring timely, efficient, and high-quality completion of projects across multiple customer accounts.
- Fostering teamwork within the OEM group, addressing employee issues constructively, setting high standards, and providing honest, actionable feedback to TSS.
If you...
- Hold a BS degree.
- Have prior experience managing and developing team members.
- Bring at least 3 years of OEM experience, with deep technical knowledge of paint pre-treatment products, specifications, and processes.
- Excel in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving within the paint pre-treatment field.
- Possess strong analytical skills for testing and evaluating product performance through data collection.
- Know how to build and strengthen relationships across all levels of customer organizations.
- Demonstrate excellent time management and are highly organized and self-motivated.
- Communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing—and are confident presenting to various audiences.
- Are open to traveling up to 50% within your customer base.
- Hold a valid driver’s license in good standing.
