About the role

If residing within commutable distance to one of our offices, a hybrid schedule would be required (3 days in office, 2 days work from home). Those outside of commutable distance may be considered on a remote basis.

SUMMARY:

The Technical Project Manager, CRM and Data Systems is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional technology projects across Avetta’s go-to-market and back-office ecosystem, with a primary focus on CRM (e.g., Salesforce and adjacent sales/marketing technologies) and Data platforms (e.g., MDM, data warehouse, integrations, and analytics).

This role partners closely with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Finance, Product, and IT to deliver end-to-end solutions that improve data quality, streamline processes, and enable better decision-making. The Technical Project Manager owns the full project lifecycle—from intake and discovery through delivery, stabilization, and handoff—ensuring that scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets are consistently met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project & Program Delivery

  • Lead planning and execution of CRM and data-focused projects, including new implementations, enhancements, integrations, and migrations.
  • Define and maintain project charters, plans, and roadmaps covering scope, milestones, dependencies, resourcing, and budget.
  • Manage multiple, concurrent projects in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate and align work across internal teams (IT, Data/BI, Integrations, Security, Operations) and external implementation partners.
  • Run core project ceremonies and routines: project kickoffs, status reviews, risk/issue reviews, and steering committee updates.

CRM & Data Domain Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical project lead for initiatives involving:
    • CRM / RevTech: Salesforce (or similar), marketing automation (e.g., Marketo), sales engagement tools, and related integrations.
    • Data & Analytics: data warehouse / lake (e.g., Snowflake), MDM, data quality tooling, reporting and BI solutions.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, with particular attention to:
    • Account, contact, and opportunity models
    • Master data and hierarchies
    • Data quality rules and governance
    • Cross-system integrations and data flows
  • Partner with Data, Integrations, and Architecture teams to ensure designs are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Support design and coordination of system integrations across CRM, ERP, billing, and data platforms (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Zuora, Snowflake, MDM, and other key systems).

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business sponsors and product/process owners in Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Finance, and Operations.
  • Lead requirements and discovery workshops, process walk-throughs, and design reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
  • Drive change management in partnership with business and PMO:
    • Impact assessments
    • Communication plans
    • Training and enablement coordination
    • Post-go-live support and adoption tracking

Governance, Quality, and Risk Management

  • Establish and manage RAIDs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) for each project; define and track mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance considerations are built into project designs and plans.
  • Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) planning, execution, and signoff, including test strategy, test cases, and defect triage.
  • Partner with PMO to ensure adherence to project governance standards, templates, and reporting expectations (status reports, steering packages, dashboards).

Process Improvement & Standards

  • Identify opportunities to standardize and improve project practices, especially around CRM and data implementations (intake, prioritization, templates, checklists, and playbooks).
  • Contribute to and leverage PMO and IT standards (project classification, charters, status reporting, change management, etc.).
  • Share lessons learned and best practices to improve future CRM and data delivery across the portfolio.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years of dedicated project or program management experience leading technology projects from initiation through implementation.
  • Significant hands-on experience delivering projects in CRM and/or RevOps domains:
