Description
Goldberg Companies Inc. is a premier Northeastern Ohio property management firm located in Beachwood, Ohio. We are seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable functions and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Essential Job Functions
- Direct and supervise daily activities in the Accounts Payable department.
- Manage and lead a team of accounts payable associates.
- Review and verify invoices and coding of invoices for accuracy.
- Ensure all invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.
- Execute month and year-end closing activities accurately and on time.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to all team members.
- Maintain positive relationships with on-site property management teams, accounting team members, and vendors.
- Review and approve all new vendor requests, ensuring that all requirements are met.
- Create and distribute regular reporting to internal stakeholders.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
- Detail oriented
- Works with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties simultaneously
Preferred Skills:
- Real estate accounting experience
- Experience with MRI or other property management software
Education:
- Associates Degree in Accounting; or equivalent work experience
Experience:
- Five or more years of Accounts Payable experience
- Leadership and Supervisory experience
