We are currently looking for a Creative Designer to join the Designit team that supports our Fortune 500 technology expertise client. This world-class team operates 100+ social media channels and 20+ marketing blogs designed for developers, IT decision makers, IT implementers, business decision makers, and end users. Each month, we publish over 3,000 social posts to help, inform, entertain, and engage community members across the globe.
The Creative Designer supports the Creative workstream, which produces innovative, digital storytelling experiences in the form of social posts, blogs, event marketing, and every other way we connect with our audience. What you will do:
- Produce creative assets that accompany editorial, demand generation, and fan engagement posts for social media channels across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social platforms
- Create graphics, illustrations, video, and GIF assets tailored to specified social channel
- Interpret the client’s brand and accessibility guidelines and apply guidelines to creative assets
- Create and maintain design templates to support key workstreams such as events, announcements, demand generation, training, and education and constantly evolve them based on feedback from supporting team's insights
- Produce internal team assets such as PowerPoint presentations, email templates (.oft), playbooks, training material, and other ad hoc creative
- Receive creative direction from the Social Design Lead
- Collaborate with a cross-functional content team to evolve a concept into customer-facing content — from design exploration through front-end development.
- Collaborate with creative agency partners to produce creative that resonates with core audiences: developers, IT decision makers, IT implementers, and business decision makers
- Assist in developing visual systems and brand guidelines for owned social channels
- Research, secure, and manage sourced photography that align to brand guidelines
- Serve as a subject matter expert with deep understanding of the brand, tone, and voice
- Bring insight on new format types and visual styles to test, advise on A/B testing, and share insights at quarterly creative workshops
- Communicate with Social Design Lead and Social Copy and Creative Team Lead for scheduling and assessment of completed projects
Day-to-day responsibilities consist of approximately 70% art production, 20% internal and client collaboration (i.e. ideation sessions) and 10% project management and administration.
What you bring:
- 2-3 years of experience in the digital and social creative space
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital media design, motion design, interaction design, visual arts, or the equivalent work experience
- Portfolio showcases a breadth of style and design capability including static layouts, motion and/or animation projects, developing templates such as .oft files, and working within design systems
- Solid understanding of layout, typography, hierarchy, color theory and other design principles
- Intermediate working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere
- An ability to communicate reasoning behind your work, as well as the ability to give and receive written and verbal feedback
- Ability to understand/interpret brand guidelines and creative briefs
- Proactive in team brainstorms with the confidence to back up design concepts and new ways we could develop our craft
- Microsoft experience a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
