The Director, HRIS is responsible for overseeing the firm’s human resources information systems (HRIS), including but not limited to Workday, viDesktop, and LawCruit; and ensuring its alignment with the strategic goals and objectives of the organization. The HRIS Director manages the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and security of the HRIS. The Director, HRIS also leads the HRIS team and collaborates with other HR leaders and other key stakeholders to optimize the use and functionality of the HRIS. The Director, HIRS will also ensure the HRIS meets the highest standards of security and compliance.
What You Will Do:
Strategic Leadership:
Lead the development and execution of the HRIS strategy aligned with the firm’s overall business goals.
Collaborate with senior management to identify HR technology needs and opportunities for process improvement.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR technology.
System Management and Optimization:
Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of HRIS systems.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security within the HRIS database.
Optimize system functionality and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Oversee and deliver configuration and customization solutions to meet specific business requirements ensuring a delivery of high quality solutions.
Process Improvement:
Develop and support a culture of continuous improvement by streamlining HR processes by leveraging technology solutions; identifying areas for automation and efficiency gains; and, working closely with cross-functional teams to improve data workflows.
Lead the development and maintenance of critical integrations.
Leverage Workday knowledge and expertise to continuously monitor for updates and emerging industry trends to incorporate latest solution design in all business processes.
Reporting:
Drive development of regular HRIS reports and dashboards for internal clients, management and other stakeholders.
Compliance and Legal Requirements:
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including federal, state, GDPR, and local employment laws related to HRIS data management.
Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and adjust HRIS practices accordingly.
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with HRIS vendors and service providers.
Evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance HR processes.
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, information systems, computer science, or related field.
10+ years of HRIS experience, preferably within a professional services environment, including experience in data management, system design, system integration and system upgrades.
Supervisory experience required; lead, motivate, and develop and retain a high-performing team.
Broad and deep knowledge and understanding of various HRIS platforms, applications, and tools, such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, ADP, etc.
Demonstrates strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices within highly matrixed global organizations.
Possesses outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills across a diverse population and at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
Travel to firm offices may be expected on occasion.
