URM Stores, Inc. has immediate job openings for Maintenance Refrigeration Mechanic.  This skilled Refrigeration position will perform a variety of tasks that include those related to the maintenance / repair and upkeep of the Ammonia Refrigeration and HVAC equipment. This responsibility also includes diagnosing any electrical / safety issues and failure of equipment. The mechanic will make sure that all Refrigeration equipment is maintained and in compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management and EPA Risk Management Programs.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing ammonia refrigeration equipment.
• Maintaining and repairing commercial and domestic refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners.
• Locating and repairing defects in electrical control systems and equipment.
• Use of tools and equipment used in the ammonia refrigeration trade.
• Reading schematic control diagrams, blueprints and working from sketches.
• Operate, maintain, and repair gas & electric heating and cooling systems.
• Perform overall maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Perform scheduled and timely Preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a clean safe work environment.
• Perform timely and accurate troubleshooting.
• Experience with computer related maintenance program.
• Background working with PSM/RMP compliance program and requirements. 
• Ability to work shifts including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
• On Call for emergency situations. 

Desired Qualifications:

• 5 plus years of industrial refrigeration maintenance experience preferred.
• Proven experience/knowledge in hydraulics, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and controls.
• Knowledge in commercial refrigeration, with preference to Ammonia Refrigeration Systems.
• Computer use with and maintenance software and systems controls. 
• Knowledge of HVAC/refrigeration, mechanical system, electrical. 
• Skills in troubleshooting, scheduled maintenance, and repairs. 

License or Certification Required:

• Valid Drivers License.
• RETA Certification.
• HVAC / EPA Universal.
• Spokane County Gas Mech 2.

Preferred Experience: 

• RETA CIRO / CARO. 
• Electrical Troubleshooting.
• PSM/RMP Management.

• Our full scale wage is $32.41 per hour, our starting wage is determined by verifiable experience as shown in the examples below:
• 0-5 months experience - $26.58 per hour
• 6 months experience - $27.55 per hour
• 12 months experience - $28.84 per hour
• 18 months experience - $31.11 per hour
• 24 months or more experience - $32.41 per hour (full scale)
